new Spanish audio lesson

Buenos dias amigos

I have a 3 new audio recordings to share with you today.

These lessons have been on the back burner for almost
two years. They are from a new extended audio series we are
creating for Shortcut to Spanish. I wrote these lessons
just after I finished the original Shortcut to Spanish.

That was way back in March, 2004.

Somehow, we never around to recording from the extended
audio script. I guess because there is so much content
and it was hard to set aside a big block of time.

You see, on the original Shortcut to Spanish course the
female voice is my wife Maria Elena. We have young
children and scheduling a big block of time for
Elena and I to record together is difficult.

Apart from being the voice of Shortcut to Spanish,
Elena is also a successful make up artist. She has
worked on a lot in TV and film production. She has
worked with many famous Latino celebrities including
Salma Hayek, Daisey Fuentes, ex-presidente
Ernesto Zedillo any many others.

Elena was the resident make-up artist for many years
on the Spanish language version of sesame street
(Plaza Sesamo).

She once even turned down the opportunity to work on
the film Titanic. oops!

As luck would have it Elena was invited to talk on a
radio show with Jose Luis Lozano. He has since become
a good friend of ours and the new voice on much of the
audio.

You can hear me, Jose Luis and Elena together on the
Shortcut to Informal Spanish Conversations audio series.

This year Jose Luis and I have been busily recording the
extended script that I wrote for Shortcut to Spanish way
back in 2004.

Not all the audio has been edited yet, but I do want
to share with you today lesson 1. If you have done
the samples lessons from the first 4 chapters of
Shortcut to Spanish,

you can do this lesson with no trouble.

For the more advanced students, I will send a more
challenging lesson from later in the course as soon
as it is edited.

here is the link to the audio.
