Staying fresh and enthusiastic for Spanish
Published December 30th, 2007 in Marcus SantamariaHola Amigos
Sometimes I miss being a learner at Spanish. I guess
what I miss the most is the excitement of making
big advances with Spanish.
It feels great when you discover something new
that lifts you to a new level. It feels even better
when you get out and use what you have learned with
real Spanish speakers
I think teachers often forget what it’s like to be
a learner, and that’s a shame. They forget that
having a good time while learning is important
and how easy it is for a beginner to become
confused.
So that I don’t forget what it’s like to start from zero
or almost zero, I frequently try courses in languages
other than Spanish.
As well as helping me step inside the mind of a
learner again, I sometimes come across some
really good ideas.
Here are details of a good program, that’s fun and has
plenty of online sample lessons.
